"After 9 years of inner work and deep healing, I explored what motivated me to live, think, and create throughout my life. I quickly realized that with every action I took, my central goal was to feel seen, valued, and accepted by everyone; my life was driven by everyone and everything except myself. I suddenly had no drive to create. I was lost, and so I paused and sat in that feeling of uncertainty."
"During this phase, I discovered the musician “Fred Again..” and immediately felt a deep connection to his authenticity, openness, and clarity as an artist. His music seemingly answered so many of my questions about creating— I felt inspired to pursue a similar authenticity and commit to allowing a creative Source to live through me in this human form, bringing my Soul into this physical realm through movement."
“Exploding. Beautiful. You.” is the culmination of this new mindset. With music by Fred Again.., performances by Imprints company dancers, and in collaboration with my partner, Julia Gonzalez, the piece illustrates what it's like to just simply play: however my heart, our hearts, want to move."
